When was the directory first published?
Scotland Wedding Directories was first published on 19/06/2008. As we have built the site from the ground up it may take a few months for the directory to start filling and for the search engines to index the site correctly which is why we have lowered advertising costs for the first 200 listings as a reward for those who can see our future potential. Incidently regardless of how big the site becomes you will still only pay the price you paid originally. It is also worth mentioning that if you happen to be the first on the page of any category you have a greater chance of generating business.
Why should I consider advertising with Scotland Wedding Directories?

Do I have to use Paypal or can I pay by alternative methods?
Yes, we can accept cheques or postal orders. Please contact us to place your advert and we will invoice you for the amount due.
How Soon will my listing appear after I have submitted payment?
You will get an opportunity to send your images after you have made payment and your listing will appear shortly after that. If there is a delay in getting your pictures we will still display your listing and add them as and when.
I have my own website or already listed on other directories so why should I pay to advertise again?
Through our years of search engine optimisation experience we know there are several types of businesses that do well instantly on the internet, wedding services being one of them. As the web expands it is getting harder and harder to get to the top of search results so adding your url and business services to as many directories as possible helps not only drive traffic to your site but also increases your footprint giving you greater 'relevance' with regards to search engine results. Our advice would be to advertise with as many directories as your budget will allow then monitor traffic via Google Analytics (see question below) cancelling the ones that don't work. We are confident that over time you will discover adverts you pay for which generate very little traffic or business.

This is free and easy to set up and is invaluable when finding out which sites are sending you traffic. This is especially important when you are paying many sites to advertise your business allowing you to track visitors and cancel any adverts which are not sending you traffic. If you are unsure about Google Analytics consult your web designer or contact us and we will be happy to set this up for you absolutely free of charge.
What if I cannot find a suitable category?
If you cannot find a suitable category please contact us and we will consider your suggestion however as long as it is wedding related we would be delighted to add it to the site. Our aim is to provide the most complete Scottish wedding resource site available helping you to advertise your business successfully and allowing the viewer to find everything they want for their wedding day in the one place.
Can I upgrade my listing?
Yes of course, you can upgrade your listing at anytime. We would suggest that you operate within your budget until you know the sites you advertise with are doing what you are paying them for, then you can upgrade as and when required. This is especially important when you are just starting out on the web.
What if I don't have a website?
If you do not have a website our directory can still list your business name and contact details along with information on your services. You can also upgrade to a full business listing which would link from your basic advert to a page dedicated to your services which would include pictures and detailed information on your services.
Can you build a standalone website for my business?
